SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

 

About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Specialist who understands how social platforms work, knows what content performs well, and can manage multiple client accounts at once. You will be responsible for running daily social media operations across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Threads, and more.
 

This role is about more than just posting. You will track trends, update the team on what’s working, help plan content, schedule posts, handle live reporting, and make sure the accounts you manage stay relevant, consistent, and perform well.
 

You’ll work closely with our creative team, but you will own the day-to-day social media operations. If you’re someone who is hands-on, loves staying up to date with trends and algorithms, and has a good marketing sense, this role is for you.

 

Responsibilities

  • Handle the day-to-day of multiple client social media accounts across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Threads, and other relevant platforms
  • Build monthly editorial plans including content calendar, content themes, and content briefs
  • Schedule content using Later to ensure posts go out consistently and on time
  • Monitor trends, viral content, and platform updates. Share your findings with the team and give suggestions on how to apply them to our content
  • Engage with followers by replying to comments, DMs, and mentions to maintain a good brand image
  • Support live event coverage by capturing and editing short videos using CapCut for real-time updates
  • Make sure all client accounts are up to date with correct bios, links, profile images, and pinned posts
  • Review all content before posting to make sure it is free of errors and follows brand guidelines
  • Watch for negative comments or issues that may lead to a PR problem and report them quickly to the team
  • Track raw data from social media platforms and input it into Google Sheets for reporting
  • Create performance reports using tools like Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, and platform-native analytics
  • Do basic trend and competitor checks using Brand24, Emplifi, and Socialblade

 

Qualifications

  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in managing social media accounts, either at an agency, or brand
  • Good understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Threads, and other platforms
  • Experience using Later, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, Google Sheets, and CapCut
  • Comfortable using Brand24, Emplifi, or Socialblade for trend spotting and competitor tracking
  • Strong understanding of what kind of content works well on different platforms
  • Able to catch new platform updates and growth hacks and apply them fast
  • Good basic knowledge of marketing and content strategy
  • Able to work well with creative teams and help turn ideas into content
  • Cheerful, energetic, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Good communication skills with a strong sense of teamwork and accountability
  • Bonus if you have experience or interest in running ads on Meta, TikTok, or Google platforms
