Desa Potato Head began as a simple idea—a relaxed restaurant offering great food and drinks. Over time, it evolved into a unique creative village in Bali, where sustainability lies at the heart of everything.

The sustainability journey began when Ronald Akili, the founder, witnessed the environmental impact of Bali’s waste crisis while surfing. This experience inspired a focus on effective waste management, with the ambitious goal of becoming a zero-waste property and contributing to Bali’s transformation into a zero-waste destination through art and creativity.
At Potato Head, every aspect of our design reflects our commitment to sustainability. We integrate sustainability with art, making it an essential part of our village's identity.
Since 2017, landfill waste has been reduced from over 50% to under 3% through focused waste management, recycling, and upcycling efforts. The goal is zero waste, achieved by transforming waste into functional and creative items.
